It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

Image
It is officially December and I am ecstatic! The holidays are definitely what makes the winters wonderful. I pretty much look forward to the Christmas season, right after New Years. I know that sounds a bit ridiculous, but it is the truth. There is just something about Christmas that makes me feel like a child again...The child I believe God calls us to be like on a regular basis. As it gets closer to Christmas, I'd like to share this idea in greater detail.   Something happening a little bit sooner, though, is finding out our baby's gender. I think it is pretty neat that we get to find out if baby C is a he or she around this magical season. Originally I was pretty bummed I had to wait until December (thinking we could find out the day after Halloween at 16 weeks), but I am glad it is one more thing to be excited about during this amazing time of the year! Only a couple more days until we have our ultrasound.   Unfortunat...

The Countdown is ON!

Image
I really enjoy having things to look forward to. Not like I want my life to hurry up, but I enjoy planning and having an excuse to be excited about things! Well, there are SEVERAL things we are counting down for.... Starting with Thanksgiving!   YUM!! Drooling just looking at this photo   Aaron gets FIVE days off in a ROW. Five whole days we get to relax together, be with family and not have to study or discuss school. I cannot wait! It has been almost four months since the last time we had more than two days together so we are really looking forward to this break.   Then there is the countdown for something even more exciting....Seeing our little one on the big screen for the second time. Here we will be able to see how he/she is developing and growing and of course the GENDER REVEAL! We can not wait!! Every time I walk into Old Navy or Target, off to the baby clothes I go! I just wonder if we will be buying adorable v-neck cre...

Baby Bound

Image
So the news is out!! Phew...So happy for the world to know! That is a difficult thing to keep a secret for two and half months when you are a Facebook addict and are trying to share your heart in a blog... However, I am going to be honest...Now that you all know Baby Conger is alive, you may not get me to stop talking about him or her. So friends, if you are tired of reading baby blogs, you may just want to stop here... :) Some of you have asked how I told Aaron, where are the baby bump photos, how far along am I and how am I feeling... Well, here it is...   Back in August I went to Issaquah (Seattle area) for a friend's wedding. Prepping for the wedding the night before, (alone for Aaron was finishing up with the school week) I decided I should probably take a pregnancy test. They were having an open bar and I hoped to have a couple of drinks. I was a bit worried about the wedding the next day with having to pee about every 15 minutes. Afraid maybe a...

Fall is in the Air!

Image
Awe, I just cannot get enough of Fall. Can you smell those crisp leaves falling and the pumpkin spice candle burning?! Yummmm....   Fall use to be my least favorite season, but now, along with Christmas of course (for Christmas is it's own season!) is definitely my favorite.... I love fall due to the steaming hot Pumpkin Spice Lattes, reading a great novel by the fireplace, and making delicious pumpkin and cinnamon goodies (which I will include a clean Pumpkin Cream Cheese Bar recipe at the end here....). But I truly love fall because six years ago, I fell in LOVE.    I cannot believe Aaron and I met over six years ago. It has definitely been the greatest, most enjoyable six years of my life. I won't lie, it hasn't been easy, but by the grace of God, and I truly mean GRACE of God.... AMAZING! Better than I could have ever won in a game of M.A.S.H. growing up. However, this fall has been unusual. My man is not around quite as m...

Almost two months of med school down...

Image
I cannot believe it is September 22...Um, where has the time gone?? I guess I am doing a great job of illustrating what it looks like to be a med student...BUSY! I haven't posted anything in a month...Well, let's change that... Aaron's mom, Janice, just got here a week ago and has been diligently unpacking her boxes and making herself at home. It has been so wonderful to have her here. I have a friend to talk with other than my beloved cat. Once she has settled down we will officially post photos on here of our new home. Aaron has completed his first test block and is working on studying for his second which is at the end of the month. (A test block is comprised of about 9-11 tests in a two day span. Yes, a bit insane for the average brain). We also celebrated him receiving his white coat (his "Dr Coat") last weekend. Over these last couple of months we have developed a routine that seems to be working well. Aaron studies between 10-12 hours a day, Monda...

First two weeks of med school down...

Yes!! Two weeks of school are done and over with. AWESOME! Except for the fact that a lot has happened in the past three weeks (since we've been here) and I haven't even blogged yet. However, only having Internet on your iPhone makes it a bit difficult to type an entire page so...I guess I haven't been slacking completely... But for now I must share what has happened in the past few weeks...    We MOVED! As most of you know, the original place we moved into, which was walking distance from the school, was a mess. There was cat pee in my mother-in-law's future bedroom (yes, I will explain in a bit...); there were bugs EVERYWHERE including my retainer case, toothbrush cover, and our bed (YUCK!); a rattlesnake enjoying the weather in our yard/sun room; and overall the place was just completely filthy (dog hair on the "newly shampooed carpet", an inch thick of dog hair in the washer, a half an inch of scum inside the dishwasher, and the list goes on). Thankf...
