Eight Months!

This is ridiculously late, but better now then when her nine month update is due in just a couple weeks!


 
In the eighth month I have...
 
Had my first tooth popped through!
The second followed within a couple days. It was not very fun, but it is nice to chew and bite things.
 
Started saying Nana
(I got to surprise her on her birthday, saying Nana for the very first time).
 
Learned to click my tongue.
 
Experienced my first snow fall.
 
Started waving, but I don't really know what it means yet.
 
Learned to nod my head "Yes!"
(Momma prefers this over shaking my head "no.")
 
Tried my sleep sack for the very first time in place of my swaddle.
 I like it. No more swaddling for this girl
 (well, unless I'm beyond tired and my arms are flaying)
 
I received my first doctor kit. Going to be like Papa when I play!
 
Best of all, I experienced my very FIRST CHRISTMAS!
I turned eight months on Christmas Day so I think that counts as being part of my first eight months, right?! I enjoyed playing with my Little People Nativity and learning about Jesus.
 (I think I may love this Holiday the more that I grow and understand it.)

 On the morning of Thursday, September 16, 2021 I woke up eagerly to get ready for our co-op with Classical Conversations. However, I noticed I was having contractions that seemed to be rhythmic. I decided to download a timing app and noticed them coming every 5 minutes or so for the next hour. I began to wonder if I was going into labor. I was so excited I messaged my co-op director that we wouldn't be going to CC that day because I thought I might possibly be in labor. I didn't want to make the drive 25 minute drive and then have to immediately come home. I also messaged my friend who was planning to shoot the birth. I messaged her giving her the heads up that I thought I was in labor, but wasn't positive, and didn't want to declare anything quite yet. This is very normal for me. 24 Months!

Here we are with the bear again... 24 months, aka 2 years old, aka the testing of my character begins... Sure glad I have the Holy Spirit to guide me... I am talking, running, jumping all over the place.  I went to Hawaii with my family and had a blast at the beach playing in the sand and water. I love "kicking the ball!" with Papa. I started calling Momma, Mommy, but Papa is still Papa. I love animals especially my cat, Peng! I am going potty on the potty consistently. Just don't go anywhere without my little potty. I am still wetting the bed at night, but we are working on that one. I love playing at the park, and going down the slide is my favorite. I enjoy hanging out with my friends and being silly. My hair is getting very long and Momma is trying to get me to sit still to make it look fancy. My favorite show is Baby Einstein (when Papa will let me watch it). Ten Months!

Oh my, only a couple more months and my babe will be ONE YEAR!! Ahhhhh. But for now, I will enjoy these next couple of months.   This month has been a BIG month for me. DOUBLE DIGITS!   In the tenth month I have...   Whistled. I'm quick and keep Momma on her feet. She never knows when I'm going to do it, that way she can't get it on tape. ;)   Started clapping my hands. If you do a good job, don't worry I will clap for you. I also like to clap when music is playing.   Become a "pro" waver.   We left on my 10 month birthday for Seattle and I walked Papa to the door. Before he closed the front door and had the chance to say goodbye, I waved him off.   Learned to turn on my butt in circles. (It's my nice way of saying I don't want to listen to you...
